Advanced seating for the Modern Workspace

This project explored the design of a next-generation office chair that adapts fluidly to the user’s shifting needs throughout the day, seamlessly transitioning between work, gaming, and relaxation. The goal was to merge advanced functionality with a clean, neutral aesthetic that fits naturally into both office and home environments, while offering moments of visual personalisation through integrated LED lighting.

The chair incorporates a range of high-end features, including ergonomic adjustability, hip and back massage, heating and cooling elements, immersive speakers, a deployable privacy screen and footrest, mood lighting, and smart energy solutions such as a built-in battery and induction charging via the armrest and desk surface. Each element is designed to support a different mode of use, enhancing both productivity and well-being.

In work mode, the chair fosters deep concentration and an optimised workflow. In relaxation mode, it creates a space for effective regeneration through physical comfort and sensory isolation. Gaming mode emphasises immersion and excitement, with responsive lighting, audio, and privacy features that adapt to the user’s setup.

By integrating physical comfort with digital functionality, this project reimagines the office chair as a dynamic platform for performance, personalisation, and modern hybrid living.
