Beside daily work on the design projects, founder of the studio Jure Miklavc is very active in international design scene. He is regarded as a world-leading design expert and he is involved as a jury member of several the best and the biggest design competitions. Since 2013 he is invited to contribute his knowledge and experience as a jury member in selecting the best works from all over the world for the Red Dot Award: Product Design in Essen, Germany. From 2014 he is also involved with the Red Dot Award: Design Concept in Singapore with an excellent overview of the latest and most promising design concepts from around the world. From 2015 he’s also part of the international jury for the CGD - Contemporary Good Design in Xiamen, China. In recent years he had lecturers and workshops in several international institutions such as International Design school for Advanced Studies IDAS in Hongik University, Seoul, Korea or Berlin International, University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He is also Associate professor and Head of Department for Industrial design and Applied arts, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana. |
